Seventh-generation master craftsman, musician, and sound healing teacher—preserving an ancestral Himalayan tradition through sound.

Master Santa

A Living Lineage of Sound

Master Santa Ratna Shakya Kasa is the seventh-generation holder of a metalcraft lineage rooted in Patan, Nepal’s ancient city of artisans. For more than 170 years, his family has preserved the knowledge of making, tuning, and working with singing bowls—a tradition passed from one generation to the next through hands, listening, and practice. With over four decades of experience, Master Santa is the creator of the Full Moon Singing Bowl and the founder of the KASA method of sound therapy. Today, he continues to handcraft instruments, teach practitioners, and share this living tradition with communities around the world. Each bowl carries not only his mastery, but the knowledge and dedication of the generations that came before him.
